Biography
Anton Ganitsky was born in 1799 in the city of Krakow in the family of a local tradesman. He received medical education at the University of Krakow , where in 1831 he received the degree of doctor of medicine in defense of his thesis " De febre nervosa item de lithomia laterali " [1] .
In 1832, he went to work as a doctor in the Warsaw Hospital of the Infant Jesus [1] .
On June 7, 1833, the special commission of the Kingdom of Poland, A. O. Ganitsky, was awarded the title of doctor of medicine [1] .
In 1836 he was appointed an intern at the Warsaw Military Hospital; in 1838 he was assigned to the Tomsk Chasseur Regiment, and in 1839 to the Sofia Marine Regiment [1] .
In 1840, Ganitsky was assigned to the Sedletsky semi-hospital and remained there until 1844, when he was transferred to the Prince Volkonsky infantry regiment [1] .
In 1847 he was appointed to the Riga Military Hospital, in 1848 - first to Ladoga Eger, then to the Nizovsky Yeger Regiment, and from there a junior intern to the Lovichi military temporary hospital, where he died of cholera in the same year.
In addition to the aforementioned dissertation, he owns a number of other works in the field of medicine.
