Biography
Born on April 27, 1889 in Moscow in the family of the artisan-watchmaker Savely Iosifovich Shelehes. Brother Ilya Shelehes .
Initially, he studied at the city school of Podolsk in the Moscow province , in 1903 he entered the 5th grade of the Masing real school in Moscow, from where he was expelled in 1905 as a participant in the 1905 revolution and the December armed uprising in Moscow .
Member of the RSDLP since 1912, Bolshevik . In the days of the October Revolution - a member of the Khamovniki Military Revolutionary Committee and the commissar of the district. After the victory of Soviet power, Alexander Shelehes - chairman of the Khamovnichesky-Dorogomilovsky district council, member of the Moscow Committee of the RCP (b) . He was a participant in the Civil War - suppressed the White Guard rebellion in Yaroslavl in July 1918, then was sent to Kursk, cleared of whites, as an organizer of party and Soviet work. In Kursk, he contracted tuberculosis and died on March 28, 1919 . He was buried at the Novodevichy Cemetery [1] (3 plots, 63 rows). [2]
