Biography
Born on April 27, 1889 in Moscow in the family of the artisan-watchmaker Savely Iosifovich Shelehes. Brother Ilya Shelehes .
Initially, he studied at the city school of Podolsk in the Moscow province , in 1903 he entered the 5th grade of the Masing real school in Moscow, from where he was expelled in 1905 as a participant in the 1905 revolution and the December armed uprising in Moscow .
Member of the RSDLP since 1912, Bolshevik . In the days of the October Revolution - a member of the Khamovniki Military Revolutionary Committee and the commissar of the district. After the victory of Soviet power, Alexander Shelehes - chairman of the Khamovnichesky-Dorogomilovsky district council, member of the Moscow Committee of the RCP (b) . He was a participant in the Civil War - suppressed the White Guard rebellion in Yaroslavl in July 1918, then was sent to Kursk, cleared of whites, as an organizer of party and Soviet work.
