Born in Carpi . After successfully obtaining a law degree in Bologna in 1556, he was appointed to the post of priest in Felizzano and Cassin , then he was praetor in Castellone . He later joined the service of Francesco d'Avalos , the Viceroy of Sicily, and moved to Naples . There he decided to join the Jesuit Order.
After joining the society, Jesus was appointed rector of the Jesuit College in Lecce , which he held until the end of his life. In 1947 he was canonized , his relics are in Lecce, in the Jesuit church. Liturgical memory - July 2 .
