Play career
Dmitry Timashov was born in Kirovograd, Ukraine . In early childhood, he moved to Sweden , where he began playing hockey [2] . Until 2013, he played in junior and youth clubs " Yurgorden " and " Modo ". In the Swedish Hockey League, Timashov made his debut for MODO the day after his seventeenth birthday, October 2, 2013, in a match against XB-71 [3] . In January 2014, Timashov was loaned first to the Mura club, and then immediately to the Björkleven club [4] .
Season 2014/15 Timashov spent in the club " Quebec Remparts " from the Main Junior League of Quebec . For "Quebec" Timashov spent 66 matches in which scored 90 (19 + 71) points. At the end of the season, he received the " Michel Bergeron Trophy " - the prize for the best attacking novice and the " RDS Cup " - the prize for the best novice of the year [5] .
On January 6, 2016, Timashov moved to another Quebec junior league club Shavinigan Cataracthes [6] .
On June 26, 2015, at the NHL draft, Timashov chose Toronto Maple Leafs in the fifth round [7] .

Dmitry speaks three languages: Russian , Swedish and English [8] .
