The mandibles on their outer ventral margin have a notch or ledge. Antennae of females 12-segmented, males - 13-segmented. They hunt for butterflies ( Lepidoptera ), which are dragged into their underground nests, temporarily paralyzed with a sting and lay an egg on them. Os was recorded from June to August. The number of wasps is universally low. It is found in single individuals. The number is declining due to human economic development of virgin lands in the habitats of the species [1] [2] [3] .
