Presage was first introduced in June 1998 as a competitor to the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Estima . After restyling in 2001, the car received a new trim level called Highway Star.

The second generation was introduced in 2003, with seven and eight places. The second generation is built on the L-Class, which is used on the Nissan Teana and Murano . This generation has a rear view camera. This car is also available with the Highway Star version.
