Prionix black comb [1] ( Latin Prionyx nigropectinatus ) is a rare desert species of burrowing wasps ( Sphecidae ) from the genus Prionyx . Included in the Red Book of Uzbekistan [1] .

Content
Description
North Africa, Western Asia, Central Asia ( Uzbekistan ) and Kazakhstan . Inhabits sandy areas of the desert (Kyzyl Kum and others). Locust hunters ( Acridoidea ), which after paralysis are dragged to the mink, where the egg is laid are hunted Imago is visited by plants from the Asteraceae family. The flight is marked from June to August. The species was first described in 1869 by the German entomologist Ernst Ludwig Taschenberg (Ernst Ludwig Taschenberg; 1818-1898). The number is everywhere low. Occurs single individuals. The number is reduced due to the human economic development of virgin lands in the desert zone [1] [2] [3] .
