Poem

Slovenian Sea (translated from Yiddish):

Ilmen wavers in the free space,
Fishing soyma uplifting easily.
Slovenian Sea,
Slovenian Sea - So in the old days they called him.
Thirty rivers flow to it,
Fields, let the green valleys.
From here it is wide to Ladoga itself
Volkhov carries its waters alone.
The lake invites itself invincibly
Both in summer and in winter fisherman.
Gives catches bream and burbot,
And in the spring - plenty of smelt.
Ilmen wavers in the free space.
The wave with the horizon, he meets
Slovenian Sea, Slovenian Sea,
You are our song, our bow to you!
