Bennett, William

John William “Bill” Bennett ( July 31, 1943 , Brooklyn , NY ) is an American Republican politician, US Secretary of Education in the administration of President Ronald Reagan from 1985 to 1988, and director of the National Policy Office for drug control from 1989 to 1990.
