Petrovsky Village Council was formed in the first years of Soviet power. According to 1920, he was part of the Petrovsky volost of the Klinsky district of Moscow province [2] .

In 1926, Petrovsky s / s included the village of Petrovskoye , as well as 2 farms and 2 gatehouses [3] .

In 1929, Petrovsky s / s was assigned to the Klinsky district of the Moscow district of the Moscow region.

On July 17, 1939, the Paveltsevsky s / s (the villages of Borikhino , Paveltsevo and Smetanino ) was attached to the Petrovsky s / s, as well as the village of Bogaiha Zakharovsky s / s .

August 20, 1939 Petrovsky s / s was transferred to the new Vysokovsky district .

On June 14, 1954, the Elgozinsky s / s was attached to the Petrovsky s / s .

On December 7, 1957, the Vysokovsky district was abolished and the Petrovsky s / s was returned to the Klinsky district.

On August 27, 1958, the villages of Aleksandrovo , Elgozino , Parfenkino and Puptsevo were transferred from Petrovsky s / s to Tarkhovsky . Then the village of God was transferred to Spassky s / s .

On February 1, 1963, the Klinsky district was abolished and the Petrovsky s / s entered the Solnechnogorsk rural district . January 11, 1965 Petrovsky s / s was returned to the restored Klinsky district.

March 10, 1975 Spassky s / s was attached to the Petrovsky s / s.

On May 30, 1978, the villages of Vlaskovo, Steshino and Yuryevka were abolished in Petrovsky s / s.

February 3, 1994 Petrovsky s / s was transformed into the Petrovsky rural district .

On September 27, 1995, the village of Vladykina Gora was formed in Petrovsky s / o [4] .

During the 2004-2005 municipal reform, the Petrovsky rural district ceased to exist as a municipal unit. At the same time, its settlements were transferred to the rural settlement of Petrovskoye [5] .

On November 29, 2006, the Petrovsky rural district was excluded from the accounting data of the administrative-territorial and territorial units of the Moscow region [6] .
