Biography
The most successful season in the sports career of Kathrin Stoll was the 1981 season, when she entered the main line-up of the East German rowing team and, thanks to a series of successful performances, won the right to defend the country's honor at the World Championships in English Nottingham. As part of the four-seater crew, which also included rowers Birgit Fischer , Karst Kyun and Rosvita Eberl , won a gold medal at a distance of 500 meters, overtaking all their rivals, including crews from the USSR and Sweden, who took second and third places, respectively.
Subsequently, however, Stoll left the GDR team and no longer showed any significant results at the international level.
