History

The decision to build the station was made in 1939, but construction did not begin before the Great Patriotic War. The station went into operation in 1952, at the same time it was officially founded and got its name Severny settlement. [1] The design of the village was carried out under the leadership of Nikolai Nikolaevich Selivanov , Secretary of the Union of Architects. K. Kislova, Z. Gosudareva and other architects also participated in the design. [2]

The village became part of Moscow in 1985. Until the mid-2000s. continued to be considered a separate urban-type settlement, later ceased to be considered separately.

Description

The village is built up with two-story residential buildings, each for four apartments. Basically, the houses in the village belong to one of two types - with a pediment and rounded windows on the first floor or in a more simple style, with less decor. Two types of houses alternate, which helps to avoid uniformity. [3] In the village there are 9 street-lines bearing the names of the 1st - 9th Northern Line (until 1994 - 1st - 9th lines of the Northern Waterworks, until 1985 - 1st - 9th lines Severny settlement [1] ). The central axis of the village is the 3rd Northern line, stretching from the house of culture to the central entrance waterworks. [3] Residential buildings of several types and most public and administrative buildings were designed by N. N. Selivanov. So, according to his project, the SHS Directorate (1st Northern Line, 1, page 1), a canteen (3rd Northern Line, 1), a fire station (1st Northern Line, 7) were built . The village culture house (3rd Northern Line, d. 17) is based on a project by Z. O. Brod , significantly revised by Selivanov. The former school, now a kindergarten (3rd Northern Line, d. 15), was built according to the standard design of N. M. Vavirovsky and A. P. Velikanov . [2]
