Valery Nikolayevich Kardakov (born June 19, 1963, Kirovo-Chepetsk , Kirov Oblast , RSFSR , USSR ) is a Russian hockey player who played for Moscow Wings of the Soviets , and later an ice hockey coach.

Biography
Born on June 19, 1963 in Kirovo-Chepetsk . A pupil of the Children's Sports School of the local hockey club " Olympia " (the first coach A. D. Kulyabin ), where he began his playing career. In 1981-1982 he defended the gates of the USSR Premier League team - Moscow “ Wings of the Soviets ” [1] , then - the Yaroslavl Torpedo , who became the champion of the first league in the 1986/1987 season and after winning the transition tournament in the major league [2 ] .
In 1987 he returned to the Kirov-Chepetsk Olimpia, and since 1992 he entered its coaching staff as a goalkeeper coach. In 1998-1999 and 2014-2015 he was the head coach of a team serving in the MHL [2] .
He is currently the ice hockey coach of the Youth Sports School Olimpia (Kirovo-Chepetsk) and Dymka ( Kirov ).
