Crater Description
The immediate neighbors of the crater are the crater Julius Caesar in the west-south-west; Al-Bakri Crater in the north; Ross Crater in the northeast; Arago crater in the south-south-east and Sozigen crater in the south-west. To the northwest of the Macleer Crater is the Bay of Glory ; in the north - Maklira furrows and beyond them the Gem mountains ; in the southwest are Sozigen furrows [1] . Selenographic coordinates of the center of the crater , diameter 20.3 km [2] , depth 610 m [3] .
Maklir Crater has a polygonal shape and is flooded with basaltic lava , only a sharp narrow top of the shaft protrudes above the surface of the lava. The shaft height above the surrounding area reaches 780 m [4] , the volume of the crater is approximately 240 km³ [4] . The bottom of the bowl is flat, has no noticeable structures.
