Biography
Libon belonged to the plebeian family of Skriboniev , whose representatives were supposedly in the III century BC. e. moved to Rome from one of the Italian cities. Libons are first mentioned in sources in connection with the events of the Second Punic War [1] .
Lucius Scribonius bore the same denomination as his father. Presumably [2] it is he who is mentioned in several Latin inscriptions as the patron of Cavdius and the builder of the basilica in this city. In the late 80s BC e. Libon was a quaestor in Sicily [2] , and in 80 he held the position of urban praetor .
Family
Libon was married to Sentia, the daughter of Guy Sentius , praetor 94 BC. e. His children were:

- Scribonia , wife of Augustus and mother of Julia the Elder [2]
