The Garden of Ibn Ubad al-Ansari ( Arabic: سعد بن عبادة ; mind. 635 , modern Syria ) - an Islamic politician of the 7th century, an associate of the Prophet Muhammad , one of the leaders of the Hazraj Medina tribe.

Biography
His full name is: Garden of Ibn Ubad Ibn Doulayim Ibn Harisa Ibn Numan Ibn Abu Hazaym al-Ansari al-Saeedi al-Khazraji. He was the head of the Said clan. He converted to Islam during the second oath of Aqaba . He was one of the initiators of the relocation of the Prophet Muhammad from Mecca to Medina . The Quraish learned about this, and on the way back from Aqaba they tracked him down and brought him to Mecca [1] . There he was tortured, but thanks to the intercession of Jubair ibn Mutim and Haris ibn Harba, he managed to escape and return to Medina. The garden was a rich man and spent his fortune on the needs of the young Muslim community [2] . One of the few inhabitants of the Medina who knew how to write [3] .
After the resettlement of Muslims in Medina, the Garden actively participated in strengthening the Muslim state. He participated in the battles of Badr , Uhud , Handak , Khaibar , as well as during the conquest of Mecca . He was distinguished by his accuracy in archery and was the main standard-bearer of the Ansars [2] .
After the death of the Prophet Muhammad, the Ansars nominated him for the post of caliph . However, in the end, the first caliph at this meeting was Abu Bakr al-Siddiq . After that, the Garden went to Syria, where he died in 635 [2] .
