Radio station R-158

R-158 - Soviet military VHF radio station for communication at the command level of the Armed Forces platoon - company [1] .
In service with the Soviet Army adopted in 1979 .

Description

Transceiver semiconductor VHF radio station, with simplex frequency modulation and tone dialing.

Designed for radio communications with the same type of radio stations and other types of radio stations, similar in range, in place, on the go, on the move or in the parking lot, when installed in a car.

The receiver is assembled according to a superheterodyne circuit with two transformations.

The radio station is powered by a +12 V battery located in a special compartment of the radio station housing.

The R-158 was a full-time radio station of the platoon commander , with the help of which it was possible to communicate with both the company commander and the battalion headquarters .
