Biography
Vladimir Mikhailovich Kurguzov was born on February 5, 1926 in the village of Mokroe (now the Kuybyshevsky District of the Kaluga Region ). He graduated from high school, after which he worked as Chkalovsky (now - Orenburg ) telegraph as a communications supervisor. In 1947 he moved to Moscow , got a job at the Central Telegraph of the Ministry of Communications of the USSR , worked as a technician, engineer, main instructor of the dispatch service. In 1957 he graduated in absentia from the All-Union Correspondence College of Communications, and in 1971 - the All-Union Correspondence Institute of Communications. In 1957 - 1966 he worked at the Main Directorate of Intercity Telephone and Telegraph Communications of the USSR Ministry of Communications [1] .
Since 1966, Kurguzov again worked at the Central Telegraph of Moscow of the Ministry of Communications of the USSR, initially was the first deputy chief, and in 1970 he headed the telegraph. He participated in the development and commissioning of various communication systems and systems. He was elected as a deputy of the Moscow City Council [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of July 3, 1986, Vladimir Kurguzov was awarded the high title of Hero of Socialist Labor for the “outstanding services in achieving high results and introducing new technology” with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Hammer and Sickle Medal [1] .
He died on October 1, 1988 [1] .
Honored Signalman of the RSFSR . He was also awarded the orders of the October Revolution , the Red Banner of Labor and the Friendship of Peoples , along with a number of medals [1] .
