The name is associated with a non-calendar personal name Shchegol [3] .

Geography

The village of Shchegolevo is located in the western part of Ramensky district, about 15 km west of the city of Ramenskoye . Altitude 139 m [4] . 1.5 km to the east of the village flows the river Pakhra . The nearest town is Redkino village.

History

In 1926, the village was the center of the Shchegolevsky village council of the Myachkovsky volost of the Bronnitsky district of the Moscow province [5] .

Since 1929, it has been a settlement in the Ramensky District of the Moscow District of the Moscow Region [6] .

Before the municipal reform of 2006, the village was part of the Chulkovsky rural district of the Ramensky district [7] .
