Semenovskoye - a former village in Russia , which became part of Moscow in 1960. It was located in the territory of the modern Lomonosov district [1] .

History

The village of Semenovskoye was first mentioned in 1453 in the spiritual letter of Grand Duchess Sofia Vitovtovna . Due to the proximity to the more famous village of Vorobyovo , Semenovskoye always remained in its shadow [1] .

According to the inventory of 1871 , 26 Old Believers and 342 Orthodox lived in Semenovsky. Until 1924, due to the lack of their own cemetery, local residents were buried in the village of Vorobyovo [1] .

In the revolutionary years, Semenovskoye was a fairly rich village, consisting of three streets, it had 500 yards and 5 stone houses [1] .

In 1924 , the Orthodox stone Trinity Church was built in Semenovsky, one of the last that arose during the years of Soviet power. Then in the village appeared his cemetery. The temple did not stop working until 1938 , and then a toy factory was located in it, and from the beginning of the Great Patriotic War until 1946 , the church served as a warehouse. It was destroyed in the mid-1950s. In 1929 , a collective farm was founded in the village. [one]
