Below is a list of the head coaches of FC Zenit St. Petersburg since 1935. The club’s official date of birth is 1925. In the early years, LMZ teams performed at the in-house competition level, and the most experienced of the players, usually the team captain, usually played the role of a coach. Due to the lack of documents, the names of these trainers are unknown [1] . The first “released" coach was Pavel Butusov in 1935.
Throughout its history, the club had 33 head coaches and four acting.

* In 1941, the championship was not played out due to the start of World War II . Matches played are not included in the official statistics, their results were canceled. In 1943, the team was based in Kaliningrad, Moscow Region, and participated in the Moscow Championship .
** Lasin in September 1950 replaced K. Lemeshev in away matches, Kornev in August-October 1977 replaced Zonin, Davydov in October 1998 replaced Byshovets. Match statistics were counted by Lemeshev, Zonin and Byshovets, Kornev was allocated separately for clarity [1] .
