Hypselosoma koghiensis (Latin) is a species of predatory bugs of the genus Hypselosoma from the family Schizopteridae . Endemics of New Caledonia (Oceania), at an altitude of 500 m. The body is small, compact, 1-2 mm long. The length of the male hind tibia is 0.88 mm; the length of the prothorax is on average 0.54 mm. Labium 4-segmented. 1st and 2nd antennal segments short. Head pointing down, eyes large. Male genitalia asymmetrical. The species was first described in 2013 by the Australian entomologist Lionel Hill ( Lionel Hill ; Devonport , Tasmania , Australia ). The name is given by the name of the location of the type series (Mt Koghis mountains) [1] [2] .
