Hypselosoma rhinatum (lat.) Is a species of predatory bugs of the genus Hypselosoma from the family Schizopteridae . Endemic to New Caledonia (Oceania), at an altitude of 300-350 m. The body is small, compact, 1-2 mm long. The length of the hind tibia of males is 0.81 mm, the width of the anterior chest is an average of 0.83 mm. Labium 4-segmented. 1st and 2nd segments of antennae short. Head down, eyes large. The genitals of males are asymmetric. The species was first described in 2013 by the Australian entomologist Lionel Hill ( Lionel Hill ; Devonport , Tasmania , Australia ) [1] [2] .
