Farm Club
Until 2009, the Severstal farm club was the Severstal-2 team, which played in the First League . Simultaneously with the creation of the MHL , it was decided to rename the clubs that were planning to take part in the tournament. Thus, the Cherepovets fans chose the name “Diamond”, which repeats the name of the ice arena, where Cherepovets hockey originated and grew [1] . The arena, in turn, is named after cosmonaut P. I. Belyaev’s call sign, Almaz-1.

Emblem
The emblem of the Severstal hockey club repeats the logo of the main sponsor - OAO Severstal . At first, the logo was a stylized letter “C”, from which the red-hot metal would pour out. In 2009, as a result of the rebranding, the sponsor's logo changed to a more concise, and then the emblem of the hockey club changed as well. She was the Möbius strip of colors of the Russian flag. As a result of the rebranding in 2017, the Möbius strip has given way to a golden Unity . At the moment, the golden Unity is the official logo of HC Severstal, and in 2018 the club redesigned an alternative logo - “Lynx”, which is now actively used by the marketing service of HC Severstal.
Anthem
Anthem HC Severstal was written in 1995 by composers Oleg Hackman and Igor Psaryov. The vocal belongs to the leading radio "Transmit" Nikolay Govorov, who is helped by Viktor Ivanov in the choruses. The anthem quickly gained popularity among Cherepovets fans. It sounds on all home matches of Severstal. Despite the emergence of new alternative hymns from the hockey club, the original anthem of 1995 remains the main song of the Cherepovets club to this day. [7]
