(601) Nerthus ( lat.Nerthus ) - an asteroid in the asteroid belt , found by Max Wolf on June 21, 1906 at the Heidelberg Observatory and was named after the goddess of fertility of the ancient Germans of the northwestern block of Nerta [1] .
