Yahya ibn Ali al-Hajuri ( Arabic ي .يى بن علي الحجوري ) is a Yemeni Salafi theologian, one of the students of Mukbil ibn Hadi [1] , who became the leader of Dar al-Hadith in Dammaj after the death of his teacher.

Biography
Origin, early years
The full name of Yahya al-Hajuri is Abu Abdurrahman Yahya ibn Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Ali ibn Yakub al-Hajuri ( Arabic يحيى بن علي بن أحمد بن علي بن يعقوب الحجوري ), comes from the Arab tribe . Khanjars ( Arabic: الحَنجَرة ). Grandfather al-Hajuri moved to the village of Tab'ud, where his father was born, and in 1958 and Yahya himself. Al-Hajuri’s father was engaged in agriculture and raised his sons in a religious spirit.
Shariah training and meeting with Mukbil ibn Hadi
After minor religious training in his homeland, al-Hajuri went to Saudi Arabia, where he attended the lessons of Ubaidullah al-Afghanistan in Abha , attended the lessons of such readers of the Koran as Muhammad Azam and Muhammad Bashir. At this time, Yahya al-Hajuri learned about the Salafi sheikh Mukbil ibn Hadi al-Wadi , who taught in the Yemeni city of Dammadzh and met with him in 1984 year. From then on, al-Hajuri began to study various Shariah sciences from him, and subsequently began to replace him in the lessons. On the eve of the death of Mukbil ibn Hadi bequeathed to him to become the leader of Dar al-Hadith after him [2] , but despite this, after the death of the sheikh, a competition arose between his students [3] .
Leader of Dar al-Hadith
In 2011, Yahya al-Hajuri was accused of preparing foreign students for an armed struggle against Husi Shiites living in the Dammaj area; he authorized jihad against them [4] . Due to hostilities in the area (the city was under siege by the Hussites several times), in January 2014, al-Hajuri was forced to leave Dammadj and move to the capital of Yemen, Sana'a [5] . After the capture of Sana'a, al-Hajuri organized conferences in such Sunni regions as Aden and Taiz , where he made a call for mobilization against Shiites [6] .
Criticism
At various times, praise was addressed to al-Hajuri: Mukbil ibn Hadi , Ahmad al-Najmi, Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab al-Banna, Rabi al-Madhali , Salim al-Khilali and others.
Since the end of the 2000s, criticism of "deviations" and " bids " on theological issues by Salafi ulama from various countries, including Abdullah al-Bukhari, Rabi al-Madhali, Ahmad, began to be addressed to Yahya al-Hajuri. Bazmul, Osama al-Utaibi, Ali al-Husayfi, Muhammad al-Imam and others. Claims arose due to the words of al-Hajuri about whether the prophet Muhammad could be mistaken and whether he acted sometimes according to his ijtihad , as well as his statements in address of associates of Muhammad and attacks on some Salafi ulama modernity (Ubeid al-Jabiri, Muhammad al-Wassabi, Muhammad Ali Farkus). All the allegations were rejected by al-Hajuri himself and his like-minded students. [7] Often opponents of al-Hajurit call him a heretic ( mubtadi ' ) and Haddad , and his supporters - Hajurit ( Arabic. الحجاورة ).
According to the memoirs of the American journalist Peter Curtis in the book Undercover Muslim: A Journey into Yemen , Yahya al-Hajuri resembles an “absent-minded professor” who screams a lot in his lectures, and his school is based on the principle of “constructive chaos " [8] .
