It is part of the Baden district. The population is 9,556 people (as of December 31, 2008). It covers an area of 43.22 km². The official code is 3 06 07 .
History
On the territory of this area were located Roman and early Christian settlements. It was first mentioned in the sources of the beginning of the XII century as the location of the castle, which was later badly damaged during the siege by Turkish troops. Industrialization processes in the second half of the 18th century brought a powerful impetus to the development of the settlement, as a result of which a wool factory was organized.
Tourism
The city has a riding school, polo club, an 18-hole golf course and a hippodrome . The main historical attraction is the ruins of a medieval castle.
