The 8th Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Championship was held on February 1, 1939 in the cities of St. Moritz (competitions were held in men's doubles) and in Cortina d'Ampezzo (competitions were held in men's fours). This was the last world championship, which was held separately in the fours and deuces in different cities.
