Mikolas Mikolovic Yunchas-Kuchinskas ( lit. Mykolas Mykolo Junčas-Kučinskas ; August 13 (25), 1893 , Matsikai, Memel Region (now Shilut district , Klaipeda county of Lithuania ) - March 16, 1973 , Vilnius ) - Lithuanian Soviet party and statesman, deputy chairman Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Lithuanian SSR (1947-1959).

Biography

Member of the Civil War in Russia. In 1918-1923 - a fighter of the Red Army . He took part in battles in the Urals and in Siberia. In 1919 he joined the ranks of the RCP (b).

In 1923-1926 - on cooperative, then party work in Belarus . Since 1926 he studied at the Communist University. Y. Sverdlov in Moscow.

In 1930 he was sent to party work in Lithuania. Until 1931 he worked to create communist underground organizations in the Šiauliai region. In 1931 he was arrested and sentenced to 12 years in prison. In 1933, during the exchange of political prisoners, he was released and exiled to the USSR.

In 1935 he graduated from communist university. In the same year he returned to Lithuania. In 1935-1936 he worked as an organizer of the cells of the Lithuanian Communist Party in the Panevezys district and Salantai . In 1936 he was again arrested, from 1937 to 1940 he was serving a prison sentence.

After the Baltic annexation to the USSR on August 26, 1940 he was appointed People's Commissar of Labor of the Lithuanian SSR .

In 1941-1943 - a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (b) of Lithuania, the Commissioner for the evacuated in the Kuibyshev region and the Mordovian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

Member of World War II. In 1943 - representative of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (b) of Lithuania in the 16th Lithuanian Rifle Division .

12/30/1944 - 6/4/1946 - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Lithuania (b) for personnel. From December 1944 to April 1946 - member of the Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Lithuania (b).

In 1946-1947 - Permanent Representative of the Council of Ministers of the Lithuanian SSR to the Council of Ministers of the USSR .

In 1947-1959 he worked as deputy chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Lithuanian SSR.

In 1941-1960 - a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (b) of Lithuania - KPL . In 1947-1963 - deputy of the Supreme Council of the Lithuanian SSR.

Since 1960, retired.

He died in Vilnius in 1973. He was buried in Antakalnis cemetery .
