Earl Attlee is a hereditary title in the United Kingdom Peerity system created on December 16, 1955 for Clement Attlee (1883–1967), the former British Prime Minister (1945–1951). At the same time with the title of count, he received the title of Viscount Prestwood from Walthamstow in Essex ( United Kingdom ).

As of 2012 , the title holder is his grandson, John Richard Attlee, 3rd Earl Attlee (born 1956 ), who inherited his father in 1991 . He is one of the 90 elected hereditary peers who retained their seat in the House of Lords after the adoption of the Peer Act in 1999 . unlike his father and grandfather, the current Lord Attlee is a member of the conservative party .

- Martin Richard Attlee, 2nd Earl of Attlee (August 10, 1927–27 July 1991), the only son of the previous one, and Violet Attlee (1895–1964)
- John Richard Attlee, 3rd Earl of Attlee (born October 3, 1956), son of the previous and Ann Barbara Henderson
There is no heir to the title.
