Andrei Petrovich Izmailov (died in 1714 ) was a figure of Peter the Great in the Izmailov clan. The brother of General I. P. Izmailov .

In 1682, he was the closest steward of Tsar John Alekseevich , then, in the same position under Peter I , who in 1697 sent him to study maritime abroad.
After completing the exercise, he traveled as an envoy to the Brandenburg Elector Friedrich Wilhelm to congratulate him on accepting the title of Prussian king. As a token of appreciation, the Elector presented the Order of Magnanimity to Izmailov [1] .
In 1701-1707 he was a messenger in Denmark , where he was busy recruiting an offensive alliance against Sweden and hired sailors and artisans for Petersburg shipyards. Departing from Copenhagen with the Order of Danebrog , spoke a speech in Italian before the king [1] .
In 1709 he was entrusted with being at the hetman Skoropadsky for secretly observing the actions of the hetman; then, after a brief disfavor caused by the escape of Prince Vishnevetsky from Ukraine, Izmailov was appointed governor of Suzdal, and on January 26, 1714, he was appointed governor of Nizhny Novgorod .
Children
- His son, Vasily Andreevich (died 1743), served in the navy, retired with the rank of captain, for the coronation of Elizabeth Petrovna promoted to major general. He married Anastasia Mikhailovna Naryshkina (1703-1761), the granddaughter of the boyar GF Naryshkin , and had a son Peter and a daughter Praskovya, in marriage, Princess Prozorovskaya (died 1807). His widow entered the circle of persons closest to Elizabeth and was granted by her in 1747 to the State Lady.
- The daughter of Evdokia Andreevna (1704-1750) since 1721 is married to Baron Isaev Petrovich Shafirov (1699-1756), the son of Vice-Chancellor P. P. Shafirov .
