History
The stadium was built in 1919. In 2005, a reconstruction was carried out, during which the field coverage was replaced with artificial grass . "Dundalk" became the first Irish club, which switched to the all-season coverage, FIFA licensed 2 stars.
At the beginning of 2007, the roof of the main stand of the stadium was damaged during a storm, and the club carried out another reconstruction, during which the dressing rooms were also repaired. As a result, the capacity of the stadium was reduced from 12,000 to 6,000 seats.
After the club qualified for the Europa League , the stadium was assigned the second category from UEFA and the number of seats was reduced to 3000 (4500 with standing places in domestic competitions).
