Ixodes apronophorus (lat.) - a species of ticks of the genus Ixodes from the family Ixodidae . Europe and Asia ( Russia east to the Kemerovo region and Altai Territory; Central Asia ) [1] .

Description

The body length of hungry adult ticks is about 3 mm. Auricles are long, acute-angled; behind them the gnatosome is sharply narrowed. I and II cokes with distinct webbed appendages [1] . Found in wet biotopes (near rivers, bolt, lakes). They parasitize on small mammals (including the water rat - Arvicola terrestris , muskrat . Known finds in duck nests are known. The species was first described in 1924 by German zoologist Paul Schulze (Paul Schulze, 1887-1949) [2] [3] [ 4] . The carrier and keeper of tularemia [1] .
