Maria Louise Lopez Vito ( Spanish: María Luisa López-Vito ; born August 10, 1939 , Iloilo , Philippines ) is a Filipino pianist .

She studied at the University of Manila with the leading Filipino teacher Bejamin Tupas, then in the USA , where Rudolf Serkin has been her main mentor since 1961 . She participated and won prizes in a number of leading piano competitions, including Casella and Busoni . After graduation, she lived in Spain for some time, currently lives in Germany.
In the repertoire of Lopez Vito, traditionally a large place was occupied by the works of Chopin , Liszt and Ravel , all piano sonatas and Beethoven concerts. However, in the late period of her work, her attention began to shift towards modern music in the person of such composers as Victor Fenigstein and Hubert Stupner .
Lopez Vito is also known as the main performer and publisher ( 2001 ) of piano compositions by the outstanding German philosopher and musicologist Theodor Adorno .
