The Christopoly Diocese is one of the oldest dioceses of the Orthodox Church of Constantinople , which existed on the territory of the Byzantine Empire with its center in the city of Khristoupolis (now Birgi, Turkey).

History
The diocese was established in 451 as part of the Ephesian Metropolis and lasted until the XII century [1] . Since the 20th century, the title has been used for the vicar and titular bishops of the Patriarchate of Constantinople.
