Tsivadze, Aslan Yusupovich

Aslan Yusupovich Tsivadze (born January 20, 1943 , Batumi ) is a Soviet and Russian chemist . Doctor of chemical sciences, professor, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences ( 2003 ; corresponding member since 1997 ). Foreign member of the Georgian Academy of Sciences .

Biography

In 1966 he graduated from the Georgian Polytechnic Institute. V.I. Lenin and began working as an engineer, then a senior researcher at the All-Russian Research Institute of Optical and Physical Measurements in Moscow . In 1970 he defended his thesis (on the topic “Investigations of the IR absorption spectra of coordination compounds of certain metals with XCN groups (XO, S, Se)”) and transferred to the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the USSR Academy of Sciences . In 1978 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Spectrochemistry of amide complexes of metals." Since 1982, he has been the head of the laboratory of new physicochemical problems at the Institute of Chemical Physics of the USSR Academy of Sciences, and since 1999, he has been the deputy director of the Institute of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Since 2002 - Director of the Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences ; Head of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Moscow Institute of Chemical Technology . Since 2013 - academician-secretary of the Department of Chemistry and Materials Science of the Russian Academy of Sciences .
