Content
Career
Kimmich started playing football at VfB Bösingen in the city of Besingen in the Rottweil area. At the age of twelve, he joined the Stuttgart youth team. After passing all ages, which ended in the 2012/2013 season, he played in the youth Bundesliga.
From the youth team of “Stuttgart”, he pledged to the season in 2013/14 from the third team of the league RB Leipzig moving into the big league. He received a contract for two years, which could be extended for another two years if Stuttgart did not use the buyback option [4] . In RB Leipzig, he played in his first season at a high level in 26 matches and scored 1 goal. He made his debut on September 28, 2013, replacing Thiago Rokenbach in the 55th minute in the 11th round match against Unterhaching , which ended with a score of 2: 2.
He scored his first goal in his professional career on November 30, 2013 in the match of round 18 against Saarbrücken , which ended with the score 3: 2 [5] . In all other matches where he played, he was in the starting lineup and rose with the team at the end of the season in the second Bundesliga in 2014. In the second Bundesliga, he made his debut on August 10, 2014 in a round 2 match against Munich 1860 , which ended 3-0.
Bayern
January 2, 2015 it became known that in the summer Kimmich will become a player in Bavaria [6] . On July 1, 2015, Kimmich was bought back by Stuttgart and immediately sold to Bavaria, with which the player signed a contract for 5 years. On September 12, 2015, Josua made his debut in the Bundesliga in the 4th round match, leaving in compensated time instead of Philippe Lama in his home game against Augsburg (2: 1). September 16, 2015 Kimmich made his debut in the Champions League, replacing in the 76th minute of the match against the Greek “Olympiacos” Xabi Alonso. On September 9, 2016, in the second round match of the Bundesliga 2016/2017 against Schalke, Kimmich scored his first goal for Bayern [7] . A few days later in the match of the 1st round of the Champions League 2016/2017 against Rostov , Kimmich takes a double in the Champions League [7] .
Team Career
Kimmich played for many youth teams in Germany. For the first time in the German national team, Josua was called up in the summer of 2016 to participate in the 2016 European Championship , in which he made his debut for the national team. On September 4, 2016, in the qualifying match for the 2018 championship against the Norwegian national team, Josua scored his first goal for the German national team [7] .
