Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (abbreviated BRMC) is an American indie rock [1] band based in San Francisco . The name of the group copies the name of the motorcycle club "BRMC" from the classic film " Savage " with Marlon Brando in the title role. The band is now based in Los Angeles. The group has three members: Peter Hayes (guitar, bass, vocals), Robert Levon Bean (guitar, bass, vocals) and Leia Shapiro (drums). The band was influenced by artists such as The Brian Jonestown Massacre , The Verve , The Rolling Stones , Oasis , T. Rex , The Velvet Underground and The Jesus and Mary Chain.
