Biography

Vasily Aleksandrovich Dobrokhotov was born on December 29, 1913 in the village of Malokhomino (now the Gagarinsky district of the Smolensk region ). He graduated from seven classes of the school. Since 1931 he lived in Moscow, worked as a mechanic at the Kotlostroy plant. He was elected to the Moscow City Council . In 1941, Dobrokhotov was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army and sent to the front of the Great Patriotic War . In battles he was seriously wounded and demobilized for health reasons [1] .

From October 1942 until his retirement, Dobrokhotov worked as a mechanic at the Moscow Instrument-Making Plant Manometer . He was engaged in the training of young specialists, led the factory council of mentors [1] .

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of July 2, 1966, Vasily Aleksandrovich Dobrokhotov was awarded the high title of Hero of Socialist Labor for the "outstanding achievements in the development of mechanical engineering, high technical and economic indicators " [1] .

In 1970, Dobrokhotov retired, received the status of a personal pensioner of national importance. He lived in Moscow [1] .

He was also awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree and a number of medals [1] .
