Crater Description
In the immediate vicinity of the crater is the Posidonius crater in the east. To the north of the crater are Daniel’s furrows and Lake of Dreams ; in the south - the ridge of Smirnov [1] . Selenographic coordinates of the center of the crater , diameter 9.3 km [2] , depth 1900 m [3] .
Luther Crater lies on a fold in the Sea of Clarity , has a circular bowl-shaped shape and is practically not affected by destruction. The shaft height above the surrounding area reaches 330 m [4] , the volume of the crater is approximately 30 km³ [4] . According to morphological characteristics, the crater belongs to the ALC type (according to the name of a typical representative of this class - Al-Battani Crater C ). Luther Crater is included in the list of craters with dark radial bands on the inner slope of the Association of Lunar and Planetary Astronomy (ALPO) [5] .
