History
The Russian Time team was founded by former Russian race car driver Igor Mazepa with the support of Motopark Academy in 2013 [2] [3] . The team tried to get into GP2 for two years, before in 2013 it still got the opportunity to perform in the series, replacing iSport International [3] . Due to financial problems, the management of iSport International decided to sell the team [4] . The first team victory was brought by Sam Bird , who won the 4th race of the 2013 GP2 season. [five]
In 2014, Russian Time announced its participation in the series GP3 [6] , German Formula 3 and ADAC Formel Masters [7] . However, the plans for further development of the team were thwarted due to the sudden death of its founder Igor Mazepa [8] . After that, Motopark Academy refused to cooperate with Russian Time [9] . The team was able to continue its participation in GP2 thanks to the support of iSport International, its pilots were Mitch Evans and Artem Markelov [10] . Svetlana Strelnikova, former Marussia F-1 employee, was appointed new team leader [11] . She was not able to play in GP3 Russian Time, she sold the license for participation to Hilmer Motorsport [12] .
In the 2015 season, when the management team became Virtuosi Racing [13] , the Russian Time racers scored 183 points and the team took 5th place in the championship [14] .
In 2018, the team was sold [15] to a Chinese investor [16] and stopped speaking at the end of the season [17] .
