Economics
In 2010, out of 5,400 people of working age (from 15 to 64 years old), 3,560 were economically active , 1,840 inactive (65.9% activity indicator, 60.9% in 1999). Of 3560 active able-bodied residents, 3028 people worked (1621 men and 1407 women), 532 were unemployed (257 men and 275 women). Among 1840 able-bodied inactive citizens, 446 were pupils or students , 818 - pensioners , and another 576 - were inactive due to other reasons [7] [8] .
