Description
Small short-winged beetles (about 3 mm). The legs are 4-segmented. The mandibular palps consist of 4 segments. Labial palps 3-segmented [1] [2] . Found in termite mounds of Constrictotermes cyphergaster (Silvestri, 1901) ( Isoptera : Termitidae , Nasutitermitinae ). For greater similarity with termites, they have a physically gastric enlarged abdomen, bent up and forward [3] . The life cycle is short, food is obtained by begging it from termite workers by trophallaxis [4] . The first species of beetles in which oviparriage was detected (in females, in the oviducts, already mature larvae are found in the egg shells) [5] [6] ; emerging larvae very quickly begin pupation [3] [7] [8] [9] .
