The Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul ( French Basilique des Saints-Pierre-et-Paul (Saint-Hubert) ) is the main Catholic church in Saint-Hubert ( Luxembourg province, Wallonia region, Belgium). The Church of the Abbey of St. Hubert (originally St. Peter in the Ardennes) in St. Hubert (687-1797). In 1927, the parish church was awarded the title of the small basilica by Pope Pius XI in honor of the 1200th anniversary of St. Hubert [1] . The church and the building of the abbey are part of the Walloon Heritage [2] .

Behind the baroque facade there are five naves , a transept and a choir built in the style of flaming Gothic on an old foundation - on the site of several earlier churches (previous 1135).
The body of St. Hubert , 1st Bishop of Liege , who since the 9th century was considered the patron saint of Ardennes , hunters and foresters, was transported on September 30, 825 from St. Peter's Abbey in Liege to St. Peter's Abbey in Ardennes. After that, the abbey became a place of pilgrimage. The relics were there until October 15-16, 1568, when during the Netherlands Revolution the church and monastery were looted and burned by the Huguenots .
