Biography
Born in the Thracian city of Maditos in the Ottoman Empire.
He graduated from the Halka Theological School . He was well educated.
In January 1886 he was ordained bishop and elevated to the dignity of Metropolitan Serreysky and Nigritsky [1] .
Πο πρώτον εξελέγη Μητροπολίτης Σερρών τω 1886, ως Μητροπολίτης δε Δρυϊνουπόλεως έφερε τον τίτλον "υπέρτιμ Επί της εποχής του υπέφερον πολλά οι Χριστιανοί της επαρχίας του εκ μέρους των Μουσουλμάνων Αλβανών [2] .
October 15, 1888 was appointed manager of the Enos Metropolis .
In 1892, began the reconstruction of the Cathedral of St. Nicholas in Alexandroupolis , completed in 1901 [3] .
May 22, 1899 was elected Metropolitan of Driinupol , where he was engaged in educational activities, opening several male and female schools.
On August 27, 1909 he was transferred by Metropolitan of Verius and Nausky .
June 23, 1911 was elected Metropolitan of Philadelphia .
He died in December 1912.
