Located 35 km north of Mytilene . The population is 941 inhabitants (2011) [1] .
Near Mandamados is the Greek Orthodox monastery of the Archangel Michael (Ο Ταξιάρχης του Μανταμάδου), known for the miraculous relief icon of the Archangel Michael [2] [3] .
On the central square of Mandamados is the temple of St. Basil, built in 1750.
