Biography
Born December 29, 1890 ( January 10, 1891 in the new style).
In 1918 he graduated from the historical-historical department of the Moscow Teachers' Institute , while listening to lectures at the People's University. Shaniavsky . [1] He began his pedagogical activity in 1910 at the Prokopov Zemstvo School of the Moscow Province. In 1921-1923 he was the head of the Syzran Pedagogical College, in 1924-1929 he conducted teaching and organizational and pedagogical work in the Tver and Saratov regions.
Since 1930 P.N. Perovsky lived and worked in Moscow. He worked in the State Publishing House, was a member of the State Scientific Council of the People's Commissariat of the RSFSR. Then he worked in scientific and educational institutions of Moscow and the Saratov region. Since 1944, Perovsky worked at the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR: in 1944-1949 and 1955-1967 - at the Research Institute of Theory and History of Pedagogy, in 1949-1955 - at the Research Institute of Teaching Methods; in 1945-1947 he was the scientific secretary of the commission for the preparation of the pedagogical encyclopedia.
He lived in Moscow on 33 Admiral Makarov Street. He died on November 12, 1968 in Moscow. He was buried at the Don cemetery .
