He began his creative work as a jeweler. After 1475 he devoted himself to sculpture.
Experienced by the influence of Donatello and Andrea del Castaño .
Since 1477, together with his brother Piero, he has been manufacturing silver reliefs for the altar of the Florentine baptistery . In 1484 they received several orders for tombstones for the popes.
