History
The championship was created in 2014. It replaced the Italian Formula-Abart , from which the chassis and engine for the F-4 were taken [1] .
Racing weekend
The race weekend begins with two 40-minute workouts, followed by a qualification consisting of two 15-minute segments. There are three races, the first and the third of which last 28 minutes, and the second 18 minutes [2] .
Racing car
The Italian Formula 4 uses the Tatuus F4-T014 chassis and the 1.4 liter Abarth engine. The rubber supplier is Pirelli.
Features
- In the second race of the weekend, points are awarded not according to the standard system, but only to the first eight riders (13-11-9-6-5-4-2-1).
- In the first season of the Italian Formula 4, there was an age limit - only pilots who had reached the age of 18 could take part in the championship. From the second season, this restriction does not apply [3] [4] .
- From the second season in the series there is a separate female class [5] .

Seasons
2014
- debut. It began on June 8 at the Adria track and ended on October 12 at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Circuit .
The champion was Canadian Lance Stroll, who collected 331 points. On 94 points (237) Mattia Drudi was behind him, Andre Russo was third (200 points).
2015
started on May 3 at the Vallelunga road and ended on October 4 at the Misano road.
With 331 points the championship was won by Estonian Ralph Eron who made his debut in the series, followed by Chinese Guan Zhou (223 points) and Russian Robert Schwartzman (212 points).
