History
It is likely that the first known princes of Abasgia of the Roman Empire period - Rismag ( 131 year , under the emperor Adrian ) and Rigvadin ( 303 - 304 , under the emperor Diocletian ), and the Byzantine empire - Opsit, the prince of East Abasgia in 550, belonged to this family. Although, perhaps, the princes in Abasgia at that time were still elected.
The founder of the dynasty is considered to be Anos [1] , established on the princely throne by the Byzantine emperor Heraclius in 623 . In 806, the elder lineage of the clan, which had a royal title and ruled the Abkhazian kingdom , transferred its residence in Kutaisi (Kuutisi). The younger branches remained feudal lords in the territory of Abkhazia, some of them occupied the post of Eristave. In 978, the eldest line was cut short, and the royal throne in Kutaisi was inherited by the Bagrationi dynasty. Junior branches exist to date.
Princely births
The Abkhaz princes Achba and Chhotua , the Abaza princes Lova (with their branches, now the Kabardian clans of the Liauzhevs and Tleuzhevs) Abaza and the Georgian ones - Cheidze (with their branch Eristavi- Raczinski) are considered descendants of Anosids. The branches of Achba are Abkhazian princes, Chaabalyrhua and Shat-Ipa , as well as the Georgian princes Abkhazi-Anchabadze and Machabeli (the first to stop at home).
Marital affiliation
The Abkhaz royal family entered into marriages with the Lazsk kings ( Sassanids ), the kings of Tao-Klarjeti ( Bagrationi ), and the Khazar Khagans.
